Alison Green

Alison as an associate consultant works part time and supports the development of our children’s programme. Alison has substantial experience in learning disability services from social care sector and of being a parent. Prior to working in children and family services, Alison worked successfully for many years in adult learning disability services, leading and developing a supported living organisation, leading the development of person centred supports and person centred services, long before this way of working became mainstreamed.
More recently Alison has worked in children and family services, project managing a trail blazer family support project, which became a sure start children’s centre. This work was nationally recognised due to it’s work in supporting local communities, Alison has also worked in education as a pathfinder extended services manager, developing and piloting new ways of working for schools and their partners and currently works developing integrated working practice within children’s services. Alison is experienced in supporting families to get the support which is right for them and is passionate about team around the child approach so as a child’s whole needs are identified and met.
Alison is currently in her final year of an MA in Education at Staffordshire University. When Alison isn’t working, studying, and ferrying her 3 children around, likes nothing more than catching up with friends and family.
