Adele Hoskison-Clark

Adele has worked for many years with young disabled people and is passionate about inclusion and the need for young disabled people to be involved in shaping the services that support them.
Adele leads on the development of local networks and forums where young people can identify the barriers they encounter in their lives and share experiences around removing those barriers. Her particular interests include inclusive education and the need for sexual health services to engage with young disabled people and respect their sexuality and identity.
Adele also works with various organisations, aiding them to engage and support young disabled people in a mutually beneficial and productive way. Adele’s work is underpinned by the Social Model of Disability and driven by the principles of the independent living movement. She is an eloquent speaker and facilitator and works to support organisations to develop inclusive practices. She delivers workshops on the following issues:
Adele is a very proud mum and feels passionately about society respecting disabled people’s right to be parents.
When Adele isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her family, eating out, going to the theatre and reading.
