Event Overview
This event facilitated by NWTDT will provide a mix of key note presentations, group discussions to share good practice and plenary. It will be relevant to multi disciplinary managers and practitioners who wish to make good use of existing resources any reduce duplication when responding to the needs of the children, young people and families that they deliver services to.
Topics covered include:
- CAF, TAC, TAF, key working, lead professional: developing
an integrated pathway and fitting them all together
- Service Integration: Ensuring agencies and practitioners
pool their resources so as they can respond to the whole
range of need of children and families in ways that are
likely to be effective
- Supporting parents/carers: Offering a family centred approach,
using person centred tools. Acknowledging that
they are the experts about their children and that working
in partnership with parents delivers the best outcomes for children.
- Providing a graduated response: Ensuring that the right service is available at the right time in order
to reduce or overcome child and family difficulties.
- Focusing on the child not the agency process: Ensuring that processes are not seen as an end in
themselves but rather as a means of supporting good practice and improving outcomes for children.
