For those who have done values of inclusion, particularly powerful for capacity builders, working towards full inclusion of all people who have support needs.

What can we do together to achieve a better life for you now and in the future?
There are several different approaches or styles of person cantered planning.
Each style is based on the same principals of person cantered planning. All start with who the person is and specific actions taken from this understanding.
What is it?
This 8-day course is delivered over a 3 months, followed by the option of Action Learning sets to continue to impliment the learning and future actions. The course will introduce a number of different planning tools to participants that share common values and principals of focusing on what is important to people we plan with and how can we continue to act on what we learn in true commitment and partnership. Participants will achieve facilitation in creative person cantered planning and person cantered team action planning.
Who can use it?
Self- advocates, families, friends, people who work in services.
What is involved?
Participants must self nominate themselves. All participants will learn how to use a variety of planning tools through learning how to plan for themselves and support the learning of others.
The planning tools included are Maps and Paths Action planning tools Graphic Facilitation,
Personal future planning. Person cented thinking and approaches, Live planning with circles of support and personal futures planning.
There will be a commitment from participants to put learning into practice in supporting positive outcomes for people during and after the course.
Participants will be expected to share personal learning on a number of recall days.
Participants will develop understanding of how different planning styles and approaches can be used in creative responses to traditional support services. Participants will agree to the ethics of planning its preconditions and its safeguards, in particular understanding the need to include cultural and spiritual identity. Participants will also have developed how to use the tools in developing approaches in person-cantered teams, supporting plans to influence positive change.
This course can be delivered as a train the trainer programme with an additional cost built in towards capacity building.
